Does anyone else think that Oliver Slim resembles Tom Riddle/ Draco Malfoy in demeanor?
Either way, his attempt at being dark and mysterious actually looks rather evil... or maybe constipated?
Bonding over a shared love of dark, emotive 80s guitar sounds, and the high-end sheen of American R&B, The xx’s unique sound befits a band whose wide range of influences combine beautiful, hushed vocal duets and a brilliantly inventive use of samples and low-end frequencies to produce stark, sweet, melancholic pop.

Claudia and I on our way to Vigo Transforma!
The first time that I saw The xx was at Coachella 2010 (April 16–18, 2010). This was the 11th installment of the festival which drew a reported 75,000 people. Personally, I felt that The xx was far too impersonal for a +15,000 crowd. I was not swept away by any means.
The second time, the experience was COMPLETELY different. Although Vigo Transforma (July 09–10, 2010) was still a festival setting, it was much more quaint. Right off of the coast of Spain's provence, Galicia. It was actually the first year that the festival had been held. It was only two stages, only one band playing at a time. Perfect size!

noo he does not look like draco. more chavy if you ask me, so a bit trashier in many respects. but the xx concert at vigo transforma was quite a chill, wonderful experience :) but it was sad that not too many of the spaniards were familiar with them. (hence the more intimate experience I guess?) we seemed to be some of the only people who knew of them there, which was indeed quite quite shocking, given how big they've become.
